Formula One Indian Racing driver Narain Karthikeyan

Formula One Indian Racing driver Narain Karthikeyan was born on 14 January 1977 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In the year 2005, India finally had its Formula One professional driver as Narain Karthikeyan. Narain Karthikeyan made his Formula One first appearance in the year 2005, setting out for the Jordan Team. He also scored his maiden marks in his debut term where he got in the fourth position at the United States Grand Prix.

His passion for racing was demanding an infrastructure to support it. Soon he recognized that India did not have the appropriate foundation to promote professional track or even institutes to encourage enthusiastic racers. Later Karthikeyan moved to Elf Winfield Racing School which is located in France. He was chosen by the French school after he demonstrated his strength by leading the semi-final at the Pilote Elf Competition for Formula Renault cars in the year 1992

He is the first Indian track racing driver who became India’s first-ever Formula One racer in the year 2005. Overhead his profession he raced in 48 track races, rising from 46, and obtained a total of five extremities for a fourth-place end at the United States Grand Prix that was held in 2005.

Karthikeyan first examined a Formula One car throughout the driving in a mid-season test for Jaguar, and later the same season he drove for the Jordan in the 2001 season. In the year 2003 and 2004, he worked as a test driver for Minardi, and also had the chance to race-walk in the 2004 period. Unfortunately, he was inadequate to ensure a significant sponsoring fund.

Narain Karthikeyan became the first Indian racer to drive in Formula 1 championship when he contended for Jordan in the year 2005. He cut his initial racing competition between Asia and Britain. He won the 1994 Formula Ford wintertime series in Britain and the Formula Asia championship two years following. Karthikeyan went into Formula 3 in the year 1998 and contended at that same level for many years. Then he moved up to World Series held by Nissan in the year 2002, he was fourth in the championship altogether in the level in the year 2003.

In 2007, Karthikeyan accompanied the Spyker F1 Team. The Spyker team was purchased by Indian business industrialist Vijay Mallya and was later renamed as Force India Formula One team in the year 2008.
