Actor Dev Anand received ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ on 20 January 2008. Actor Dev Anand received was conferred the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in the year 2008 for his benefaction to the Indian cinema industry.

Bollywood‘s amaranthine headliner Actor Dev Anand has been honored with a lifetime achievement award hereabouts for his enrichment to the Indian cinema industry. The retired chief justice of Karnataka and Kerala High Courts awarded the movie representation with ‘Anmol Ratan, Lifetime Achievement Award’ at a gathering assembled on 20th January evening by the Vintage Film-Music Lovers’ Association.

With receiving the award Dev Anand expressed his heartfelt statement and addressed the gathering and said “It is spectacular, it is prestigious. Thank you for your love and magnanimity which has made me fly all the way from Mumbai from England to be with you,” the actor-director-producer, renowned for his different performance way, said after winning the honor.

Dev Anand was one of the most celebrated artists in the Bollywood industry. He has according to what some say has made higher than 110 films and has performed as a lead hero character in more extra than 90 films. His profession as an artist, director, and producer traversed over more than sixty years. His film Guide was India’s approved listing in the Oscars Academy Awards. Dev Anand is a beneficiary of several national and international awards as well. He was Conferred at the IIJS Solitaire Awards in the year 2008 and in the year 2009 he moved on to obtain Legend Award as well too. The honor was presented to him by the South Indian cinema industry megastar by Rajinikanth. He also obtained an honor for distinguished enrichment to Indian cinema at the Max Stardust Awards.

Going down the reminiscence way, the 85-year-old film sourdough sentimentality remembered his journey to Mysore to ‘influence” writer RK Narayan on creating a movie variant of his novel ‘Guide‘. That journey is yet ‘green in his reminiscence’, he said. He advised Bangalore people to hold their passions living and walk ahead in the global platform.

On May 3, 2013, a postal stamp showing his representation was published by the Indian Government post to honor him.
