Like most of the children in households, the young Briju Maharaj was decided to tag along in his father Achchan Maharaj of Maharaj family of Kathak dancer’s steps and create an iconic name for himself in India and all around the globe as one of the leading dancers in the style, in India. Birju Maharaj began practicing dance at the young age of just 13 years old, at the Sangeet Bharti in New Delhi.

Birju Maharaj is a leading representative and trailblazer of spreading Kathak dance form all around the globe. He has given his Elegant, mesmerizing, and exceptional performance in numerous nations. He is an excellent vocalist with a firm experienced hold over different forms of Hindustani classical Indian music like Thumri, Dadra, Bhajan, and Ghazals.
